I arrived in France one fateful August morning to find no luggage waiting for me. This was 40 days ago. Let me quickly recap 40 days without luggage.
Day 1: laundry. Borrow clothes from my sister I'm staying with. File luggage report.
Day 2-21: get lied to from airline as to whereabouts of luggage.
Day 21: file claim
Day 22: find out the email address I sent claim to doesn't work. Airline won't give me another email and closes my case. I no longer exist to them.
Day 30... Luggage gets deleiverwd to wrong address. I'm no longer there. The airline had been informed of this.
Day 32: Brother in law and sister in Paris recover my luggage.
On day 45 I will be in Paris and reunited with "Alfreda" which is the name my sister has given my luggage.
Today, day 40: amount spent to replace items: $400 (CAD) worth of luggage: $1400 (CAD) money I will get from airline: 0
Anyone had a situation like this?
