The story behind this recipe
When you first meet someone, you will never realize that you won’t be only part of its life, but also you will see the place where it comes from even if you’ve never been there. How much you can travel just being in an only place. The secret? Listen. If you really do it and you can decipher the language spoken by the eyes, you will find the clouds underneath you very soon. That evening I went to visit a friend. There was an uncomfortable silence, her mother was there. I introduced myself and my friend whispered me: -We’ve had an enormous fight-Then, I helped to her mom who was cooking something called: "zeytinyagli fasulye yemegi” what means, green beans meal. When the food was ready, we all sat together. The woman asked me how I felt in a foreign country. At this moment,I felt at home. While, she was telling me how different religions coexist in the same society.-They really respect each other - said me. Meanwhile, the mixture of sugar and salt with others ingredients exploded in my mouth playing a perfect game of textures, full of intensity. To some extent, this feeling seems the same that, the religions and different cultures, living together with harmony. Of course, she pointed out the wide range of spices which come from everywhere due to cultural diversity which is living there. Meals, tés, fresh vegetables…She remarked - It’s essential that ingredients were fresh, it makes the difference! - I stopped for a moment, I took breath, for sure that, the streets of turkey must smell stunning. My friend still upset. I looked her green eyes, the dish so colorful: red tomato, orange sauce. I start to have a daydream. Her voice was fading slightly, I was already traveling to Turkey.
- That was delicious! How much I missed you food, Mom. Do you forgive me?- “After a good dinner one can forgive anybody, even one's own relations.” O.Wilde A country between two continents Asia and Europe, I have never been there,or wait, have I been? I'm a bit confused.I feel that I can taste it.
