Honeymooners

We travel, we see sights of awe. Home is where the heart is. My heart is with Briel.

Mt Vesuvus!

Went again to Ercoland station, from here we took a tour bus to the Mountain.  It was 16 Euros each.  You can catch public bus to there and pay entrance separately, but the bus only starts at 12.45 midday, and we arrived at 10am.. this little town is cute, but pretty boring hehe

So instead we took the tour.  We drove up in crazy fast winding mini van.  I was SO dizzy from the ride I got a headache!  It was typical Napoli driving...eh

Once there, I could see why it is sometimes a disadvantage to have a personal trainer for a husband.  WHY - well he wanted to run up the mountain. AUGH.  SO run, walk REALLY REALLY fast we did.  THe high altitude made it exceptionally interesting... My chest basically hurt, and my lungs felt like I was not breathing. hehe

But once up there, it was amazing to see the entire city of Napoli - gorgeous.  Plus the volcano itself was steaming, and excitng to climb.  To think this pretty mountain was a destroyer... the last eruption was just 44 years ago apparently!

SO we took loads of photos, and Briel ran back down the mountain.  I think we got some looks that we were crazy.  hehe but I think in a way we must be! hahaha

Ciao for now!
