"...what's outside your door"

SPAIN | Saturday, 18 April 2015 | Views [126] | Scholarship Entry

Every year for 24 years I’ve been going to the town of Alcala de Henares in Spain to visit my grandparents and aunt. In those 24 years I never paid a visit to the bar downstairs which happens to have the same name as me. For some reason drinking in Spain never excited me since I grew up having to sit at countless bars for hours while my mom caught up with her friends. But now that we had no family left to visit, I guess I was ready to drink. So finally the week of my aunt’s passing I went to Bar Noe. Let me make it clear that I don’t say this lightly- best bar in town. For 2.10 euros, we got 2 glasses of red wine and two large tapas of our choice. Of our choice! Moral of the story is the grass isn’t always greener on the other side… or something like that. Don't waste another night spending over 2.10 euros for a round of drinks!
